The story behind The Pregnancy Dietitian
—
Helping people live healthier lives through good food and nutrition has always been my passion.
Being a dietitian always seemed like the perfect fit for me.
While I studied, I decided to pursue an internship with a specialist fertility and prenatal dietitian clinic and instantly fell in love with this area of the nutrition realm, particularly pregnancy.
I mean, what an honour to support two lives (mum and bub) at once?!
I decided to up-skill in prenatal nutrition after finishing my Masters degree. Shortly after this, I fell pregnant with my first baby! To say that I was thankful for the understanding I had about pregnancy and the power of nutrition is an understatement.
As I got into the groove of helping pregnant women, I could really feel their stress, anxieties and overwhelm that came with wanting to have a healthy pregnancy and give their baby the best start to life.
Trying for a baby, being pregnant and welcoming your baby into the world are such special times in a woman’s life, and it’s heartbreaking that it’s often a time women find the most stressful.
At The Pregnancy Dietitian, it is my dream to support women throughout this season, making it easy and enjoyable so that you can fall in love with the process of becoming a mother.
